City Chick Sticker
Hawai‘i's Manu-o-ku population has adapted incredibly well to urban life. So much in fact that these birds choose to hang out and raise their babies in trees right in the middle of downtown Honolulu. If you see a blue ribbon around a tree then you know there's a White Tern (aka "Fairy Tern") chick hidden up in the leaves somewhere. These little birds are so tough they don't even need nests, they hatch in depressions on bare branches and just hang on when the winds whip down the streets.
